I am really excited about getting more into mastering. I feel like I'm making actual progress with it, and understanding finally what are acceptable levels for my music to be at-

I was curious if anyone knows about intros.. like is it better to fade things in? I've heard that normally intros don't have a lot of bassy instruments.. and I've definitely heard that they shouldn't be like loud. But I wasn't sure if it was appropriate to do a volume fade in or not.. I like the way that it is enough, I didn't want to ruin it, but I also think it could be better. Any suggestions are welcome! Also, if anyone notices anything wrong with mixing or mastering, that's what I'm focused on currently so I'm all ears on that as well.

Thanks for listening! Cheers!

Love this track, its pretty catchy and that main melody is great! I don't have any direct feedback about the mastering because Im pretty bad at it, and ive been trying to use WB to improve 😅. For the intro, I will say that it seems to be "dealers choice" based on the song. If you think it fits, you can do it; but it will change the vibe of it a bit (imo). I sometimes do a very short fade to soften the intro, but have also done a longer fade to bring different channels in at different rates. It really changes song to song for me.

I was digging this and just grooving along and then the piano theme happened and it's PERFECT

That piano hit real good.
As for the intro, it can be whatever you want, but if it's a bass this harsh, best wait a few bars or otherwise put on a filter over it. The bass you use at the end, perfect for it. Mirror the outro and you have an amazing intro.
