This is kinda punk, I think it would absolutely kill live at the right moment of the set (just drop some subs in the midsection around 1:40-2:00 for extra oohs and aahs! The following is unimportant and is not about the track but about the write-up. [spoiler]Everything in life is a phase, and everything moves like a sine wave w/ its ups and downs. The closest I got to "the secret" of everything is not to get off the wave when the sine wanders down. You're already there -- this isn't advice, this is an affirmation. About the direction into more experimental territory... Someone wise asshat once said that when students come to them saying they're "trying to find their sound" he points to the door and says "go find it." I thought that statement was rude, but it had a bit of truth I came around to appreciating: just do. Don't apologize, don't rationalize, don't bother disclosing if something was instant or if it took weeks of work, just make a thing and put effort to learn how to be unafraid. It's not about the metrics others see (listener counts, bandcamp purchasers, comments or plays) -- it's just about the thing you tried and learned that you'll apply to the next one. A friend suggested that WB is an opportunity to get dragged a little bit, to learn how to move quickly, to learn to live with mistakes, to care a little bit less in ways that make you be better a little bit more. Embrace that: DGAF can be a superpower! One thing that helps me sleep at night is that music is harmless: the worst case scenario is that someone will say "meh." But it took me an embarrassingly long time to articulate that "harmless" is not synonymous with "unimportant." Art lets us take risks, experiment, and try things harmlessly. Thanks for the response homie. I appreciate it. I probably do suffer from considering my music "unimportant". While I do put effort into making it- it also seems like maybe other people put more effort sometimes? But it's unclear. I'm just kind of assuming that live recording things takes more skill and effort.

But yeah, as I keep creating week after week, I do feel an improvement in my sound and song structure, and everything. I'm definitely excited to see what people think about listening to the track which will drop on Sunday, because I really like it. got me head nodding, such a satisfying beat... and the 60hz hum is a perfect touch, i kept listening for it throughout and it had the same effect as a general harmony for the music(kept the mood focused in a certain way), nice one!
