I went through a lot on this track. I also elected to lower the gain down a bit.. because I felt like the beginning was too loud on pervious versions.. But I feel like I always hear conflicting information on loudness.. like it's better for songs to be loud in general, but obviously a track isn't supposed to be maximum loudness always..

If anyone has any critique on the loudness please feel free to come at me gunz blazing.

Also as far as the composition goes.. I don't know if it feels barren or not.. but I played around with adding an entire other melody and the melody worked well.. but since it was also on piano and higher notes, I felt like even having it on low volume really overwhelmed the ears, so I chose to omit it entirely.

So.. while I don't feel this song is "incomplete" I just felt pretty conflicted about where to take it, and ended up trying to reel myself in as much as possible rather than oversaturate and overcomplicate, and over-volume-boost.

Anyway, hope you enjoy the comp! Thanks for listening! Cheers!

Loudness seemed right to me! Why the "notmusic" tag haha? Very fun song this week. Groovy and chill, nice contrast between the clean electric piano tones, the buzzy synths and the scratch section. Nice stereo effects.

this feels plenty loud to me on the preferred low volume on my laptop speakers - everything coming through clear with nice space in the mix
