I think what is happening: is one of the instruments I have been using lately is like detuned.. because I notice that it definitely sounds out of key if I use it in conjunction with like magical8bit..  and sometimes I end up using "out of key" notes with it alongside other instruments because.. it like sounds better to my ear. But honestly.. my ear is only attuned as much to say "it sounds good" or "it sounds bad" which, most of the time will tell me whether or not something is in key. but not always I guess. Lol. Either way, obviously I love the instrument because I keep using it.
