I was playing around a lot with the final mastering on this track.. I ended up creating 3 different versions that all had slightly different peaks and differing amounts of compression. Ultimately I felt that the first version I created was the best one as far as the overall sound goes. I listened to them on different speakers and such.. It was a very stark difference actually, on some systems. I definitely considered added more to this track structurally as well, a similar sentiment to last week's track. So with my next submission I plan on following a structure blueprint to see how it goes. I'm hoping that even if it doesn't work out perfectly, I will still be able to glean something that will allows me flesh out my tracks more going forward. Any critique is very welcome.. *especially if it has to do with mixing/mastering or structure. As always, thanks for listening!
