Made almost entirely with the Yamaha RY30, which is an old drummachine from 1991 with synth capabilities.
I decided to try and mix and perform almost everything in a live take using the following setup:
RY30 and Elektro Digitone midi-synced, everything programmed using the internal sequencers of the boxes
Connected to a Tascam M-208 analog mixer with two send effects: Ibanez Modulation delay III+Zoom MS-70CDR & Neunaber Immerse reverb
Two of the four separate outs of the RY30 were connected through a Behringer Composer MDX2000 analog rack compressor
I made a few edits and overdubs in Ableton. wink

I love these progressions you continue to churn out. I think I've favorited all of your songs thus far haha. That beat is super tasty too, I love the last measure before it loops with the sped up fill. This strikes a perfect balance between chill out music and music you can dance to.

Those are some wild melodies and some chill harmonies.

Very relaxing, yet it keeps the energy going.

Awesome! Getting a Boards vibe here.

Loving this. Nicely done!

Great chords and structure here! Howling pads into that lead line work really well and bring the track to life. Love the RY30 - gotta use mine more!

me, listening to weeklybeats stream: "oh, this is good. who is this?" *checks* "oh, zabutom. of course it is"

Nice melodies!

oh heckin good! makes me wish i had some gear to play with.

thank you! you definitely should.
I can recommend using the separate outs and a mixer, and maybe pair it with something else for more synth stuff.
I think the sequencer is pretty nice actually once you get used to it, though the lack of mutes makes it tricky to make/perform songs!

I tend to midi seq my drum machines, but I really think these machines shine when you get into their onboard pattern seqs. i really want to circuit bend it, need to look over the service manual

Ooooooh yeah beautiful 90's IDM vibe here !! I see somebody mentioned BoC vibes in the comment, I can feel some Plaid too smile Your track definitely decided me to do a playlist of my favourite Weekly Beats stuff haha
