Take Your Time feat. LeBoom

By XYON on January 23, 2022 11:52 pm

Wassup Weekly Beats Peeps! This week I'm featuring my lovely wife on vocals! Going for a sorta lofi trip-hop vibe this week. We're both a bit rusty but it was super fun recording some vocals after we put the kiddos to bed lol. Pretty straight forward approach on this one, lots of samples and some midi drum editing, little to no sound design on this one.

Here are some of our previous collabs from Weekly Beats 2018.

i see how this magic happened, best teamwork evar!

Wow, this is great, big fan of this style, great vocals from your wife and smooth beats, hope you guys can collaborate some more, the subtle scratches and whistles fit in so well

oh this is so lovely!

Holy thesis so good.  This is so smooth, reminds me of Portishead, with a boom bap feel.  Your wife is super talented.  Great job!

the family collab!  way to go wifey!  great voice.

excellent job - love all the instrument variety and that warblely synth in the background

This is super smooth. The vocal is great. I like the whole laid back atmosphere of the track, the cool bass, simple beat and the background layers (some distant guitar on the right?).

Portishead vibes, kudos to your wife, love the sparsely instrumented production, breathes all lovely.

really nice vocals and blends well with the beat! smile take your time but you can't take mine.

straightforward for you, pretty dope for someone more n00bish like me.
