U5 nach Hauptbahnhof

I visited Berlin over Easter, as you can hear. Ableton Live has a preset for the Resonator plugin that's called »Berlin« and that I had used in the past, and of course it had to make it into the final track.
Pretty happy with how this turned out, both technically and artistically. I think it's a fun track that's also danceable, let me know what you think!

That high lead melody with this strong pulsing rhythm are hypnotic. Berlin is such an awesome city! I hope you enjoyed it!

I'm loving the field recordings in this, well done! I would've loved if you had expanded on the main melody, but there's so much other stuff going on that I don't mind. Transposing it at each "station" was unexpected, but works great.

This reminds me so much of Kraftwerk, and not just because of the German wink

My favorite part is when you're leaving the first station, when there's actual train noises, and the ending when you're on the platform and some random person can be heard. Berlin vibes indeed!

Wonderful track, but I happen to love super weird electronic music. Not too danceable for me, but I can't dance! smile The field recording is so well executed (recording itself, treatment, and placement). The composition melodies fit so well. Favorited.

Great subtle use of the field recordings! They work well to ground the track in reality. That high lead and the churning rhythm evoke some bits of The Human League's "The Dignity of Labour" EP. I love this stuff!
