A( )rhythmic chatter

I had a few stems of this track already lying around as results of previous Weeklybeats experiments. However, I never got around to using them until now. For an experiment (and due to lack of time for more scrutiny), I played the drum and bass parts entirely by hand on my laptop's keyboard. They're not 100% precise all of the time, but it was an interesting experience and turned out better than I hoped. Happy for feedback smile

i totally understand the lack of time leading to less sonic explorations - happens to me basically every week  - but awesome that you stuck with it, were able to use some past stems to build from there (and more quickly than from scratch). i've found going to samples ready to go makes it easier and quicker to put something together when i lack time.

cool experiment with the keyboard drumming and strumming, and i do like the more human feel they give the track. i've heard not always sticking to the grid gives a track more 'life' and 'organic' feelings. the very arhythmic aspects of this track, coupled with some on-the-beat hihats i think, do give this a chaotic kind of vibe for me - maybe a cool background track for like a mad scientist scene in a video game, with a lab that has an eerieness to it that the arrhythmic aspects can accentuate.

keep it up!
