Deja Vu

Ever get the feeling you've composed that song before? I think sometimes a lot of the same patterns and ideas resurface, but it's not a bad thing... I love David Lynch but I think he really iterated over and over on the same ideas, with vastly different results  🤔

I think the one truth about art is there is no 'it came out of nowhere perfectly formed. Itteration is the flipside to exploration. The Beatles may have written hits in 30 minutes, but they had already written hundreds of songs to get there.

Love how chill this is. Great track.

I've been stuck in that kind of thoughts recently, but it seems I'm barely alone. You too gave me the energy to continue. Lovely track!

ha, always man. I go back and listen to my songs, paranoid that I've made this same exact one before. This doesn't feel like a repeat to me. Nice track!

That percussion coming in the last minute adds so much. Music has repetition and iteration at its very core, it's a mechanism for exploration and innovation. This is great.

Apologies for sending out comments so late... better late than never?

Amen! Sometimes I feel we are all channeling from the same "place" through our unique inability (which is good, if everyone was perfect we'd all be making the same thing XD)

Thanks! I don't think we should care about this so much, worst case scenario someone else has a prefered version of one of your ideas? Doesn't sound that bad...

Thanks! Speaking of iteration, I tend to do that a lot haha, I somehow like having the drums feel complete only in the last leg of a song, for some reason o_O
