Night City

"Nowhere is a city located at the center of the universe in the Monolith Sector. It is comprised of a large, hollow, man-made planetoid orbiting around a supermassive black hole known as “Aleph” (named after the Hebrew letter of the same name). Since Nowhere orbits a supermassive black hole and not a star, its skies have a unique way of experiencing days. For two-thirds of the planet at a time, the sky is lit with stars as one would expect from night-time on any normal planet; for the other third of the planet, however, the sky is completely black, as it is eclipsed by the sheer size of the black hole Aleph. This strange day cycle resulting in a constantly dark planet requiring artificial light gives Nowhere the nickname of ‘Night City’ among its inhabitants."

This week's track is inspired by Daft Punk's track 'Something About Us'. Synesthetically, the track I made sees dim neon lights against a pitch-black horizon, little dots in the distance curved along the edge of a circle that seem so simple yet are actually incredibly complex in their purpose and structure.

Seriously deranged! I can almost feel the gravitational waves ripping through the Night City, lights flickering to the beat.
