Farewell Homeland

By xandox on January 15, 2012 11:14 pm

I wrote this whist moving my life from one side of the world to the other.

How do you say goodbye to somewhere you've lived your entire life? To go off looking for adventure but leave everyone behind. That's how I was feeling on that flight not knowing when I'll see my home again. Yet there will always be a home wherever I feel happy. I just can't wait for what's awaiting me this next two years.

Farewell Australia, Farewell Adelaide and hello London. I've finally arrived.

i honestly couldn't say what i liked about this, but it's really good, i love it

Vibrato city!!  I'll see ya in London in Aug / Sep ;-)

solid!

Tunes like this are why I love chiptunes smile

love the melody, bass drum should be harder!!

This makes me want to dance.

Love those squiggly arps. Nice programming all around. V command for Victory!

The description you wrote for this track gave me a greater appreciation of it.  I moved from my home country a few years ago, and although the distance was not quite as far as your move, I can still relate to what you wrote.  This melody has a slight melancholic sound to it, but the overall mood is that of optimism; suiting really well the story behind the track.
