We met beneath the weathered cranes. Huddled together on the edge of the bay, cloaked in black. Burnt offerings were made, short eulogies were said. Lightning and thunder rumbled on the horizon, we could feel the magic that had bonded us together unravel. We stood together, straining to hear the fable one last time.
