WeeklyBeats Podcast Week 4

By WeeklyBeatsPodcast on January 15, 2024 12:01 am

This week I talk about skipping a week - A neat trick to give others some motivation - And this weeks writing prompt "make something stupid"

Weeklybeats tracks featured in this episode:

Moloko - Aloha! Bet you didn't expect this
https://weeklybeats.com/moloko/music/aloha!-bet-you-didnt-expect-this

JerwuQu - Top Bop
https://weeklybeats.com/jerwuqu/music/top-bop

Jbarket - Rusty Lights
https://weeklybeats.com/jbarket/music/rusty-lights

I'll make something stupid next week, thanks for the words of encouragement. This is supposed to be funny first of all, we need to make it sustainable.

Great podcast. Glad to see it posted on here!

Thanks so much for featuring my track. I’ve been really enjoying the podcast. After a year of this, somebody needs to cut a full run of it and run it on a loop

Awesome tracks! Thanks for featuring me.

I agree that making a bad track, or at going in with the thought that "this might not be my best work" can really help just to get started.

Me and @smultron are both doing a challenge for next week where we send each other a midi and a sample (could be anything!) that we have to integrate in our tracks in some way. Aside from being a bit stupid and pretty fun, this also helped a ton to get started and get a general idea of the track. Even if it doesn't become the best track ever it'll be fun to see how the other person used the midi and sample. I recommend trying this challenge with a WB friend smile

great episode! loved listening to the tracks again and always nice to hear you talk about WB and what it's like to actually participate in it

Very enjoyable! Thank you for putting in the time and effort to make these!

Awesome to hear you two are doing something together! The social aspect of WB is, imho, the unsung hero.
