St Bernardus

This was a rush, but happy to live with it. I put all my time into working on something else, then realised late I was polishing a turd so abandoned it and threw this together.

More AN1X, MS2000, and Matriarch. Got a bit of gear I plan to give one more session before selling, so hopefully put that into next few weeks.

Oh man, I used to own a MS2000B. Weird ass VA synth. Kinda regret selling it

Track doesnt sound rushed at all, sounds like a fun synthwave jam

Cheers buddy.

Yeah this is the rack version, and you're right it's got a personality.  Way back when Jexus did his video on it i had to get one, seems a little antiquated but i couldn't part with it.

The immediacy of starting again produces gems IMO. Waziam in a bottle instead of something contrived.

Glug glug

i have yet to learn how to abandon things that aren't working out. perhaps because i struggle with the fact that it takes me too long to do what's in my head atm so it feels too late to pivot at a late stage.

you managed to get a nice track out of the time you had left though. good stuff.

Thanks for the kind words. Everything you said i couldn't agree with more, it's an intimidating prospect. But given the cost and the payoff i felt it was worth it, and happier for taking the risk.

it always feels so risky shelving something near the end of the week but it often works out well. Dangerous game making tracks with stuff you plan to sell too, often you end up falling back in love. Enjoyed the track!
