Kick Turn

This is another edited jam using the TR-8S through the rack.

I sort of feel like listening back to the rough recordings from the jam there are better parts which are hard to reduce into a song, but I'll work on doing that better.

Took a few years from first hearing it but i was always going to end putting this sample in a song.

Keen to try something a bit different to this next week.

Huge variation throughout I wonder how long the full jam was.
Not surprised this is the roland too, some of the drum sounds are super iconic whatever they are.
Great bit of kit, especially when you sync it up.

I think the main one was 20 something mins, but there was another part I did separately which I spliced in. Be good to do an unedited one that picks up everything, but I need more hands.

You should get a caddy. Like in golf.

For some reason this reminded me of Gabriel Ananda - Doppelwhipper. Very nicely done, love it!

Really cool track right here!

Also I feel extra smart right now because I'm fairly certain I know where this obscure sample comes from..

This is from Jamal Smith's tease video for that Dime game of SKATE about 10 years ago, isn't it?

Are you a montrealer by any chance?

Wasn’t familiar with this track, had to give it a listen. It’s a great song, there’s little bits where they feel similar. Cheers for the kind words.

Nah, I’m from Australia.

Yeah that’s Jamal, nice spot, never really knew why the original video existed. When it came out me and some friends felt it needed to be in some late night techno, finally got around to making it happen.

Thanks for the love heart
