My second go at this style of Neuro music, and I'm really having fun with it. Last week, I had downloaded a sample pack from Keota called 'Tackle Box' and sampled a bass synth included in the pack. This week, I learned how to make that same kind of bass synth myself. It was quite time consuming, but I managed to create a sound I really liked! Once many minutes of bass was played and recorded, I built a drum pattern I liked and then brought in the bass to chop into grooves. Xfer's LFOTool has really helped in this process and is on pretty much everything.
Cool trick used this time: bounce down and reverse the bass once the riff is finalized, then put 100% wet reverb on the reversed bass- then bounce that down and reverse it again so the reversed reverb now plays along with the bass riff. Gives it an otherworldly texture that fits directly alongside the bass.
