panic attack music
everything is from one guitar sample I recorded in 2009, chopped in M8

I see I wasn't the only one making panic attack music last week.

This scratches my brain in such a good way.
Love the pitch and time bending sounds. How did you pull those off?
I didn't know a sample could be mangled this far beyond recognition in M8, great stuff!

panic attack music is such a good description; I think my jaw started locking in earnest around the time hints of those ringing chords started fluttering in around ~1:00 but kept getting immediately cut off.

Interesting to see this was some on M8; that thing really has endless possibilities

Cool stuff, all with one sample!

Thanks! It wasn't anything too crazy tbh, just choosing each section and playing with envelopes and a bunch of fx commands to spice it up. Tried to do a bit of cross modulation, at the end you can hear trig env from one track targeting resonance of another, which gives a cool pinging sound.

If you have a deep enough sampler the source material almost ends up being an afterthought!
