egg troopers

the start of a fourth period in my WB journey: challenging myself to do some number of consecutive weeks on LSDJ.  i don't know how many yet.  not sure if I can handle 10 or so.  maybe aiming more at an EP than a mini-album (side note: vol3 compilation should be coming soon!)

this is the second track i've made on LSDJ.  a lot of things are more fluid, but there's still some rough spots in the workflow for me.  e.g. I don't understand how to get cloning to consistently do the next available chain (and not some totally different number).  maybe i need to actually read the manual.

Really wish I started this before today... i really like some of the musical ideas, and some of the sound design, but I didn't have enough time to explore well.
But at least I can clearly see the progress I've made this year in music making; no chance I could scrape something like this together so fast at the beginning of the year.

one more question for the LSDJers who might see it: is the O command really that poppy?  is the DMG sound chip not able to toggle left/right routing smoother?

FIRST ON A WAGNUS TRACK YEAHHHHHH IN YOUR FACE LOSERS

Ugh I wish I could LSDJ, this sounds so awesome.  I love some of the tonal shifts/surprises.  God, you are really really really really good at making music, wth

Politely requesting the 6 min megamix version of this please and thank you

hmm, what if I actually made the 6 min megamix and added live drums and trumpet and guitar though?

Nice one, love how you can bring your own style/sound to any device.

Regarding the Oxx pops, it's best to embrace them as an extra rhytmic sound smile unfortunately no way to get rid of them on the DMG. (I've heard GBA does it a lot less)

Excellent work, maybe you can come back to it, but at that point go for the remake.

just wicked. I second laamaa about embracing Oxx clicks as a fact of life and a  percussive element.

these chipz got the fresh crispz and boogie-down like no other: nice one! cool visualizer video, too heart

ty!  fun to finally gel with lsdj after it (and the dmg holding its flash cart) have sat on a shelf for years.
i've come to embrace the Oxx pops, and def couldn't switch to GBA with what i hear about bass response on any gameboy other than the DMG...

there's def a lot that can be done beyond the DMG's LR35902, run with it wherever inspiration takes..
