I'm pretty happy with some of the ideas and concepts I came up with this week for this tune, particularly the way the first couple of riffs flow together really well. The main struggle overall was finding the common thread between all these different ideas and stringing them together into something cohesive. For the sake of making submission time today, I had to just kind of mush it all together and I also wasn't really 100% certain on what I wanted the overall arrangement to be with the exception that I was happy with the core guitar stuff. I tried some drums, but wasn't really finding the appropriate beat. Recording some bass guitar, but couldn't really find a bass line that was enticing. I eventually decided to layer in synth pads, strings, bells, etc. because those are kind of easy to use just to compliment the harmony of the guitar. For the last section I used some of the ideas from my "real instrument" improv session. I think this tune is jumping key a lot but I'm not sure, which probably contributed to the difficulty of piecing it together.

But I mean, my ears are also tired, this is something I'd like to revisit at some point and I just need to work on other music in the mean time smile

Guitar tuning, for anyone interested, is F#-A-C#-G#-B-E. Happens to be the same tuning I used for last week's song and "Wax Wings". Just trying to get some milage out of it in case I were to ever play some of these songs live, I'd like to not have to switch tunings a bunch haha.

This is so beautiful. It'd give any RE save room theme a run for its money.

What an interesting guitar tuning. Where is that coming from?
Beautiful chord sequence and tone you're having for your guitar there. I like how the track opens at 2:37 with the acoustic guitar.

Really cool track. Hope you can make some time to really craft it into the track you're looking for. I like it a lot even as it is, but it sounds like you've got some other things you want to do really get the most out of it.

I love so many things in this track. First of all the nice chorus effect, the tuning, your chord changes and the brilliant guitar work. So many ideas and changes in dynamics. Very inspiring stuff.

Love the alternative tuning and the unusual riffs that came out of it.

I'm going to try out this tuning one day.  This is so wonderful.  WHOA the triplet surprises at 4:30!!!  Congrats, you are really skilled & talented.

YOOOOOOOOOOO THIS IS ACTUALLY THE GREATEST COMPLIMENT OF ALL TIME

A surprisingly relaxing experience, despite the weird sirens.
