Mutant Folklore

Some off the wall stuff here because work has completely drained me of ability to write anything serious haha. I spent most of my down time this week practicing and learning stuff rather than writing, sometimes I feel like my brain is either in "analytical" mode or "creative" mode and it's hard to just flip the switch.  So with this tune I just did the wonkiest shit I could come up with in my current mindset. It kind of reminds me of Nuclear Throne, thus the title. Also I'm realizing it reminds me a bit if Lisa: The Painful RPG too, which is wonderful because they're both post apocalyptic humorous games with mutants and weird music. What a niche genre.

Really creative and compelling work this week. The rhythm switch-ups really caught me off guard in a good way!

I like the bass, and how wonky it is! Nice work smile

Woah this track is great. Love the way the rhythm changes so unexpectedly. Also love your mindset for creating the track; I think playing off those sorts of ideas and going a little crazy is really worthwhile.

Polyrhythms festival! The back melody sounds a bit like a slow banjo where the player can only hear themselves and just goes on and on regardless of the rest of the band grooving left and right. They do speed up appropriately though smile

The bass on top of it is HUGE, with some acid to make it even tastier. I love the rhythm changes and the general atmosphere of this track.

cool breaks and free tempo control. inspiring stuff. nice.

Those mutants sure are a hoot.

fun!
