Weeklybeats is a 52 week long music project in which artists compose and publicly release 1 song a week for the entire year.
Starting January 1st 2024 GMT each participant will have one week to upload one finished composition. Any style of music or selection of instruments are welcomed and encouraged.

Didn't learn my lesson from WB 2022 and uploaded with less than a minute to deadline. Excited to hear what everyone put together for week one after the panic subsides.

this track is tight! i love all the sound-design(the way the synths zip around and also how they breathe in and out of different distortions), and then on top of that, you keep it rolling with incredible force on those beats
that kick is nuts! really love the saturation. is there any postprocessing for saturation or the source material is already saturated?

Thank you! Percussion is an area in my work I struggle with, but felt good about it in this one. A lot of my 2022 submissions had none or minimal percussion because of this. Making an effort to push myself through that this year.

Thanks Raja! It was definitely distortion week in the studio for this one hah. Maybe this is the year I transition from my too-much-reverb phase into my too-much-distortion era? Or, more likely, next week I end up putting reverb on my reverb. brb heating up the springs

Thank you! Kick is the M8 MACROSYN kick algo with a healthy amount of POST:AD and some chorus. A bit of additional drive from the OTO BOUM sprinkled on top.
