Not My Deadliest Victim

By Tweaklab on December 27, 2020 9:38 pm

These two tracks have been in the works since 2019, I wanted to finish both of them during WB2020 as their own beats, now I'm planning a full EP/Album release in 2021 instead smile

Let's just say that other projects (GoldenEra, fatherhood, COVID, work from home, work in general, family dramas) took their toll on me and for the first time I'm kind of glad WB is over (though I'm sure I'll be back in 2022 if it's a thing again!)

The first 2 minutes are the track "Deadliest Victim" a track I wrote (with lyrics, yet to be recorded) about my friend who was (probably still is) going through domestic violence and the second track "Nicht Meine" is a love letter to Rammstein.

Hope you have all stayed safe and sane through the pandemic, if you follow me on instagram etc I will promo the crap out of this release when it's ready smile we've been grinding away on GoldenEra to show rough cuts to a potential distributor so my music abilities have been in high demand (which is also nice?) so I'm just ready to hang up 2020 and start 2021 smile

I initially wanted to make a Jesus of Suburbia style tune that had 5 songs I've struggled to finish but this will do, Christmas and kids win.

Peace out!

more comments later, but oh my days that breakdown at the end and kick drum triplets (kicklets?) are GODLIKE

Some very nice heavy parts. Fun synths nice ambiance. Nice guit tones.

Take care of you and the family. Thanks for those 2020 tracks!

Oh yeah, i love the intro lines - for some reason it reminded me of the Prodigy (i noticed later that you did add the prodigy in the tag), which got accentuated with the breakbeat. I like the guitar riffs your putting in there. This song morphes along the way, it's quite a journey as it goes into full metal with choirs mid point. Thanks for the music this year!

Man, these songs rock. Thanks for your music this year.

Thanks everyone! I'm planning a proper release of these two tracks along with at least two others. It's an EP for sure but I'm thinking I might try and flesh this into a full album in 2021 wink and seeing as this is the ONLY BEAT I forgot to add a gif to, here are two because you know, two tracks.
