I dedicate my final beat to 2022 to those who are no longer with us, in particular OrangeDrink's beautiful dog Diez.

The crazy thing is, as I was recording the "whose a good boy? such a good boy?" there was a full on strike of thunder and lightning RIGHT on the off beat and it's captured in all it's glory from the take... you can also hear my oldest child (who was about to be born ear the end of WeeklyBeats 2012... what a journey!) saying "Moxy!!!" Followed by Moxy (our black and white cat) running up to the door to be let inside. I couldn't really do much more with the track after that intervention, so I just picked up my guitar and jammed the main riff over a few bars.

This whole year feels different to previous years of WeeklyBeats... I've had to force myself to make 80% of my beats, because time has become so scarce now that I'm a dad of 3, but I've also been working on several projects outside WeeklyBeats too. So my biggest take away is this - I've learned to cut myself some slack 2023 is going to be an active year for my tunes, releasing some tunes with guest vocalists, having more music on TV in the new show "Local Council" and... my first indie game score "Lighthaze World" is shaping up to be released in 2023.

Thanks to everyone who has listened and/or commented, I've sucked at doing the same and I'll try and catch up on some weeks now that the dust is starting to settle!
