Coming Undone

This song sums up how I'm feeling about work lately, after 12 years delivering friendly customer service to people who speak to me like animals, but hey, I haven't done vocals for a few weeks so this was a great excuse.

The whole tune is super heavy, 8-string plugins were used to get a nice clean tone for the djenty parts, the rhythm parts are programmed as well in Shreddage (7-string library for Kontakt) I wanted to make the song with no instruments because I've spent 12 years talking to people through computer screens/headsets. For certain tunes, I really like the industrial sound from pre-recorded guitars. I did double track them at different velocities though wink the 8-string library is a bit beefy here and there, but I just went with it. Vocals inspired by Dethklok, music inspired by DOOM Eternal coming out later THIS MONTH! I also bit crushed a high quality string library for something different too, adds to the coming undone vibe. Same goes for the many pitch bends in the djent riffs!

Lyrics:

I don't want to work
I just want berzerk!

Constantly killing
My intellect
Keep marching on like every insect
The week prey on strong
Can never do wrong
My mind slows down
I'm coming undone.

Wow, for virtual guitars, that's pretty sick! Good work.

Thanks! Yeah there's a tune I've been working on for 12 months or so, it's "too good" to just rush it to the finish line. It's 90% done, the programmed guitar sounds so tight ans beefy but I'll feel cheap for not attempting it on my 7 string... watch this space!
