So my journey down the rabbit hole of Power Metal has been taking me into gradually darker and darker territory, where I somehow wound up listening to Cannibal Corpse for 3 weeks straight and have now ventured into the darkest metal to exist apparently. And I love it lol

I've been a fan of Metalocalypse for a decade and I knew that Corpse Grinder had done voice work on the show but I never realized how much the show took inspiration from him and the band in general.

Recorded with my Washburn Flying V with D tuning strings down tuned to C Standard, new strings are on their way to achieve B Standard / B Drop A tongue

After last week's pretty bleak post and tune, this has been very therapeutic to go from one extreme emotion to another. For those who didn't see last week, my 10 year old cat passed away unexpectedly due to having a heart attack while being considered fit and healthy, took us all by surprise but as they say time heals all wounds and I'm in a better head space now.

FUCK YES! This is absolutely legit. Can't go wrong with liking the human thumb of metal, haha. I do get the  Skwisgaar/Toki feel from this. I've been playing in C for so long now that standard tuning is too high. I'm a fan of the tones you have here with that legit double kick. I'll be listening to this more and more during the week. Favorited.
