Thank you! The basis for this was – with some later additions – achieved by playing the kick and bass patterns twice, and hard-panning the pair left and right.

Thank you! The bass is actually a cut-and-dried psytrance bass patch, but the effect was achieved with hand-played (cf. comment to license below) stereo-doubling (cf. comment to mw1618 above).

The mirco-timings are just imprecisions in my playing (which were made at 1/8 speed of the track – at 1/1 it would be too much!) :Þ, but it creates interesting doublings, that couldn't be achieved with programming (or that I choose to believe couldn't be achieved with programming to justify the recording time)
