a pensive style of production so well suited to the piece(with the EQ focusing so much on mids and all mono), and the metronome, so perfectly placed: it makes the piano feel less lonely, and yet, also stand alone so much more nice one
Sounds so sweet and nostalgic, like the piano lessons of my youth. Thank you so much for this feeling!
Oh so nice. Could listen to your song all day and night. Never heard a better sounding metronome.

Thanks! The mid freq. focus was actually not achieved by EQ, but playing as fast as I could on the highest octaves and playing back the tape at approx. 1/3 speed. This also has the interesting effect of expanding the length of the room's reverb threefold

Thanks! The metronome sounds more mellow with the tape sped down

Thanks!
wow @ the production! the composition and sound make it wonderfully emotional. nice reading the tricks about slowing down the recording, which includes the reverb and metronome.
the obsessive repetition of the theme does not get stale as the emotions seem to evolve over the duration of the piece. even the metronome seems to pick up on the changes, maybe paradoxically by contrast because it is a constant beat. reminds me of Ragnar Kjartansson who also does mellow stuff that repeats a lot. actually around this week 4 I think I was talking about it with kedbreak136. if you feel so inclined check out Kjartansson's piece The Visitors.
