I drove this car as far as I could

By Tristan Louth-Robins on February 20, 2022 11:25 am

A similar type of processing to last week, where the incoming signal is recorded and resampled by the Morphagene, whilst its parameters and those of the Double Delay are modulated by the Ochd. The external instrument is my Danelectro 12-string guitar, fitted with only the 6 'light' strings making it an 'angel hair' guitar - very ethereal, with peculiar harmonic properties..especially in alternative tunings. In this instance, I'm using a favourite tuning of mine (G modal - CGDGBE.) An additional note is that the incoming signal of the guitar is also routed to an envelope filter, which is controlling the CV of the filter.

it drives me now

The guitar sound is great. I really like the title of the track as well. I imagine that the car is now so broken that it have too much $$$$ to put on it to be able to fix it. So sad that it have to be wrecked!

Well played.

It's so delicate, it got here just in time.

Lovely tones.  So is that the guitar just straight into the modular or is there some preamp involved?

Thank you! It all decays in the end, but we can enojoy the ride for sure.

Thank you! Yes, this guitar string setup is really unique. I thought at first it was quite limited, but the more time I spend with different tunings and chord phrasing, the more compelling it gets!

Thanks! Yeah, it's going directly into a Mutable Ears, so it's using a bit of a gain kick, but that's it. I got a basic Doepfer A-119 delivered this week to handle basically the same process since I got sick of using a bulky 1/4 > 3.5 adaptor.  Will keep the Ears as a secondary input/feedback circuit though. smile
