Fluorescence 1

We just moved so gear has been a bit limited this week. I was in our backyard shed trying to get down another track of songwriting to little avail. Instead I decided to turn my attention to the loud fluorescence light overhead and used a stereo pair of piezoelectric transducers attached (with bulldog clips) to the light's casing.
This track is the consists of a few recordings made at various positions of the casing a mixed together in Logic 9 with a wide stereo/frequency spread. Normally I wouldn't use such extreme frequency separation, but it really works to the advantage of the these recordings and their relationship to each other during fades and layering; with instances of varying amplitude, resultant phasing and perceivable overtones. Though there is a consistent fundamental tone throughout, there is a noticeable difference in amplitude and upper frequencies.
