WeeklyBeats.com / Music / Tristan Louth-Robins's music / Black Hour
This track is intended as a summation of the past month's work - namely experimenting with various tonalities, textures, densities of sound. Looking forward to trying something a bit different next month - something a bit more cohesive.
Black Hour recalls some of the month's previous work, whilst being largely inspired by a brief respite from the summer heat, largely driven by a bizarre storm which came over Adelaide in the middle of the night: 33 (C) degrees outside with rain coming down and thunder enveloping the city. Crazy stuff.
--------------------
Recorded at Studio Maurilia during the second proper S.A. heatwave - 28th Jan 2018. 42 degrees (C) outside today.
Materials:
- Electric 12-string guitar > Moog ring modulator > EHX Memory Man > Vox Amp.
- Feedback.
- Customised percussion instruments.
- Reed organ.
- Field recording of this week's storm.
- Samples from WB tracks (weeks 1-3)
