Beneath a curve

By Tristan Louth-Robins on January 4, 2022 12:19 am

A fairly convoluted patching arrangement involving two sound sources: a sample of a wine glass rim being sounded and a filtered triangle wave from a VCO. Both the sample and the envelope for the VCO are triggered by a shuffling clock. The sample is split into two signals: unprocessed and processed. The processed signal is (re-)recorded and granulised via a Morphagene, then scattered a bit across the stereo field by a Dual Looping Delay that flips the delayed signal between forward and reverse (another clock trigger.)

I'm pretty happy with the patching arrangement here, and will likely continue to modify it in the coming weeks.

so much tension in this patch! love this cinematic feeling

glass harmonica feel here. sounds impressively organic and natural for a digital, granular treatment

Love the wine glass sample.  Sounds great in the mix.

I like the background explanation to the track - very creative idea!

fantastic mood here
