WB 9 - Storm Peaks (Dirtywave M8)

By Tristan Baldi on March 3, 2024 1:18 am

Hi!

This week I played with macrosynth’s wavetables algorithm to create this sort of violin lead, and came up with a little progression that reminded me of when I was trying to catch the yellow proto drake in World of Warcradt’s Storm Peaks. Old blessed times…

Well it’s not the melody really, more like the global vibe. Then I turned it up a little.

Anyway, I hope you’ll like it!

Youtube video :

Dude the sound palette is wild. It’s giving me sitar, violin, theremin all over the place. What the hell now it’s like a koto. And holy shit somebody put gas in the car hahaha.

This is spectacular. It would make an amazing opening track to a set. So chill and beautiful and then after multiple minutes of that we start going.

Loved it

Thank you jbarket for the kind comment.
When I first started I felt a celtic vibe, but it did kind of evolve into some sort of violin, sitar, and totally a koto yes!
I'll probably try to keep this one and the last DnB track for an upcomping EP. I'm releasing my second M8 album this week, but it's a mix and match of styles, so I'd like to put out 4 or 5 songs that fit a particular vibe.
Cheers!

Masterful! I've been using the m8 for so long and I feel like I haven't even taken a single step down the path that leads to this music. I deeply understand that there's so many things that go into a song like this. I am truly impressed.

Thank you for your comment, much appreciated! I like the way the M8 all drives us in different styles of music, it's the sign of a great instrument for sure.
