Jim Wood VS TrabanT collaboration - bexico2b

By TrabanT on March 28, 2014 8:11 pm

in my profile on WB I clearly state that I would be interested in collaborating with other artists. One of you beautiful people took my word for granted and played track ping pong with me - his name Jim Wood.

It went like this: we shared a dropbox folder where we both flattened and collected our track material and worked independent from one another on the same track in Ableton9

Jim is a very skilled drone deep noise glitch vocal classical experimental artist who brought a solid structure to our track. He also plays the Cello in real live I think, and produced music before I was born. Hence what an honor for me (who started music production 2 years ago) to collaborate with him.

we emailed back and forth and I have the feeling we have gotten to know each other since we shared some chitchat along the way!

all in all a VERY nice experience, and I can only encourage everybody else to do the same thing ... it has been my 3rd collaboration in my life yet, and each time the output was "beyond myself"

everybody is welcome to work on another project with me... but I assume I will be gone for a week or two...holidays

samples taken from machinedrum and monomachine and ableton stuff, and wherever jim took his ;-)

please enjoy this track who has been produced from 2 people who are divided by 25 000 km / miles (what do I know) Berlin / Santa Fe and found each other through their love of music, their creative channeling over Weekly Beats. com

thanks weekly beats!

Nice work--disturbing and engaging!  Love the speech processing.

TrabanT did a remarkable job finessing automation for reverb, arpeggiator sync, etc. I'm very pleased to have had the chance to work with him.

That's fantastic! I really like the track, and kudos for the collaboration.
