4 Track Reenactment

By Toneless on January 12, 2014 2:01 am

A fairly quick exercise. Reverb heavy piano and choir.

Things I learned:
-The importance reverb has in gluing a mix together
-A software trick to work around my inability/childlike refusal to stay in key
-That a basic kick drum sample can make a damn good basis for a cinematic impact sound

Things I need to learn:
-How to configure multichannel Kontakt in a way that suits me
-How to better control SplineEQ, OR
-Where to find a more traditional linear phase EQ that's in my price range
-How to more rapidly and more effectively sketch out a melodic structure for a track.

I liked the sound you got going here.  When you say "configure multichannel Kontakt" -- what were you trying to do?
