Wounds need air

By Tone Matrix on January 19, 2020 9:53 pm

I battled with procrastination from Wednesday on to Saturday night.  It's kind of funny how that works.  I told myself I should at least open Ableton and browse samples or ideas on Wednesday.  Nope.  Thursday, Friday? Nah tomorrow!  Finally by Saturday after many a true crime documentary distractions (Evil Genius and Aaron Hernandez!) I figured ok I'll just push out a boring piano and one pad ambient thing.  Thankfully I was inspired by the accidental piano theme and then thanks to the free plugins I got from Pure Magnetik (via Focusrite) I had me a drone and some odd piano fx.  The inspiration for these tracks is definitely "I wanna make film music/documentary schtuff!"  Three down way too many to go!  Thanks for listening!

well done

It's definitely cinematic.  I really like the odd little warbles throughout.

I always love your piano pieces, you capture such a great mood in your playing.

More of this please. smile

Piano is quite good here... comes to life with these lsweet drums...
Near the end there is a tiny upgoing piano fill or break that really inspired me smile Have to figure that out...
Definitly very goid work!

Dang still killing it with the soundtrack vibes. I love the sparseness. Aggro filter bass, pianos doing thinky vibes, and all the atmosphere you could ask for.

I feel the same way this week, have not done anything yet, like the progression of this, especially the piano that comes in midway and the frenetic synth at the end

Your song picked me up and carried me away. Thank you, sir.

beautiful stuff, very cinematic indeed!

where does the time go every week?  this is really lovely - would fit perfectly into a film/documentary

nailed the true crime / medical mystery vibe

You'd definetely nail any cinematic composition, man. Your talent for narrative and evocative pieces always amazes me.

Beautiful piano sound and playing.I wasn't expecting those arps at the end, and the piece going almost Tangerine Dream-like.

I really really enjoyed this one. Downloaded and added to my playlist, as usual.

A lightheater mystery GIF for you, though...
