So I visited the doctor recently for a routine appointment when she told me I needed some ear drops for my waxy ears.  "Uh ok I guess?"  Welp this week after using the drops a few times, it's like someone put a big ol compressor preset for tinnitus in my ear... I think it's affected my mixing this week as it took me 4 separate mix downs to finally feel satisfied with the overall sound.  So hopefully nothing is too harsh for any buddies out there.
Anywho the synths I turned to this week were Helm and Tyrell (sounds like a new buddy cop show) with the usual piano bit from Spitfire Audio.  This track originally started with me fooling around with one of those grain synths for Max4Live.  I sampled a pad from the Baervaag synth while granulizing it...  Then I threw that into a sampler and made a dirty sorta grungy synth lead.  Little did I know it would make the entire mix a pain in da ace!!! tongue
Thanks for listening!  Time for a beer!

no complains about the mix. Love the dark and creepy athmo. somehow everthing wants to explode, but does not.
well done. Wish you the best to cure your ears....

Love the “cotton in your ears” sound to the kicks, killer synths, the synth reminds me of earlier NIN, this is so good, maybe we all need a little more wax in our ears, time to listen again.

The dark grunge atmosphere here is great!
The mixing sounds good to me since everything seems to fit together nicely

Really great sounds and quite different to your usual. I liked it alot.

I really like the way this builds, as the additional voices come in.  Very nice chord progression and choice of unexpected sounds.  Good luck on the ears!

Ugh, that just reminds me that I only have a few good years of ear functionality left.... gotta get these wb tracks done while I still can!

This has a nice dark almost industrial feel to it.  Nice change of pace.  I'm totally worried that I'm damaging the hell out of my ears by spending way too much time blasting them with noise through the headphones playing with mixes and whatnot.

super fun! hope your hearing stabilizes!

It's a really nice mix, I love your definition layering, not only the spacing but the frequency of the sounds? (not sure I describe it properly) It makes for a huge atmosphere. The drill-like perc is great and those wild synths are heart

The mix is very good nothing harsh about it.
All in all i would say this unusual aggressive for you wink Hope you're good.
Had to listen again right away smile

A great mix and cool sounds, wow, some really cool intense stuff in here.  A moody atmos piece, throbs right into the earholes.

I forgot to leave a comment a few weeks back. I also suffer from excessive wax production and that's increased by the mandatory ear plugs I wear for extra protection. There has been weeks I've finished some mastering thanks to Ableton's Spectrum Analizer!

Thankfully, using proper ear drops and oxigenated water, everything goes back. to normal. It is a pain in the ass, but is worth it smile
