Reverence

By Tone Matrix on March 20, 2022 2:50 pm

Couldn't help but going the lazy beat/sleepy pad route this week.  Not complaining just struggling to describe thangs today lol.  Most of the beats I end up doing I don't really have the patience to come up with something complex.  So my fav easy way out is to randomly find a beat, slow it down, filter it and bam Bob is someone's Uncle.  Sometimes it works and sometimes meh.  Overall I'm happy with this noodle.  Noodle Matrix? eh no.  Thanks again for listening, hope you are all having a good week!

The beat is minimalist but it's really effective along with the dreamy synth lines.  This has a really warm feel to it which is very appealing.

There have been some [i]really[i/] strong slow+moody+synth tracks in week 11, and this is another great example.  The slowed-down beat meshes well with the music, and the whole thing has a lovely aesthetic―like an faint but fond memory of something that inspired awe.  "Reverence" is a good name for it.

Cool! Nice and twinkly!

Professor noodle. I really love this track. It has that certain mood that enters my nervesystem and evokes feelings and emotions. love the spare beat and the filtering in this track. lovely one.

softy dreamy tones complement those crunchy sounds so well: feels like drifting through space while picking up a distant voice broken by static on comms, all the while imbued with a grand sense of belonging to it all.

Very ambitious track this week with lots of underlying currents, peaks and valleys.  All the sounds fit well.  Natural, warm, organic sounding (do I hear crickets?).  I like the ascent to the midpoint where the strings crescendo and then withdraw a bit. The effect of the slowing beat and lowering pitch subtly is very effective. Listened through several times smile

A nice little dreamy track.

This type of stuff doesn't need a fancy beat.  Lovely feel with the added tones.

Dreamy and evocative. A moment of peace.

lazy beat/sleepy pad sounds very good, but maybe only from you ... though maybe just being lazy and sleepy means there's less overthinking and some real emotions and music come to surface. Love the sparkles in this, and filtered beat, that's a nice part of the formula. The subtle lower melody coming in around 2:20 is golden magic. I recently worked with a Brit and learned the phrase "Bob's your Uncle" Love it. Gotta use it. We had a teammate named Corwin so we started saying "Corwin's your Cousin" to mean the same thing ...

And Noodle Matrix sounds like a hot new pop up restaurant. Deconstructed noods or some such biz

I could chill to this. I am.

Great blend of the subdued beat and the synth/pads floating above, like that skittering perc sound panning in the mix, very enjoyable, thank you

i have a lot of reverence for noodles!
this piece is really pretty - i like the little chorus-y pads

This is really nice. Just chill and easy going and dreamy. And sometimes that's all we need.

The beat actually sounds like footsteps in the gravel as a funeral procession marches on to the gravesite.

Really hit me hard with the visual on this.  Man, you are so visual, I don't know why, I'm not like this with all music.  Perfect that you named your album Colors too.

"Bob is someone's Uncle"
