Neurotic Guilt

I really have a short attention span when it comes to concentrating on musical ideas. SQUIRREL!!  I turned on the Bass Station2 thinking I'd do another track with it.  Then I got distracted by an email about some free samples to download and I fell down the rabbit hole.  Well ok the Spitfire Audio rabbit hole.  They released yet another FREE instrument for their LABS library called Piano Pads.  It has about 10 mellow pad sounds originating from their Soft Piano.  So the BS2 became a midi controller once again.  The drums all came from another email about free samples.  Ben Burnes has some inexpensive and free packs online at https://gumroad.com/ben_burnes  The samples were from his "Get Wood" pack which has about 100 organic smacks, scrapes, thumps and bangs.  Even a light switch! The piano as usual from Spitfire.  Some sub thrown in to try and sorta fill out the bottom end.  Hopefully it isn't too loud or too low?  *beard stroke*  Thanks for listening!

The bass and percussion are cool for sure.  They blend well with the piano part.  It's ambient and relaxing but also a little groovy.  I like that sizzle sound that comes in at 2:10 and I think also earlier on.

Really, really like the percussive track here, and it fits so nicely with the piano. Adore the subtle shift in tone around the 1:40 mark. Just beautiful.

I have no clue why I ever spend money on virtual instruments/plugins when there’s so much free shit out there.  Thanks for the heads up on these.

I’m digging this weeks track, very chill and well developed.  Those piano pads create a really cool back drop.  Love the real piano melody too.  Very minimal but really we thought out.  Sounds like it could be the theme of a TV show or movie.

The piano has a cinematic appeal, while the beat is more a groovy hip-hoppy thing. The hole track is under tension and could suddenly explode. But as far as I know your style, it doesn`t go this way. It stays dreamy, emotional and unobtrusive. Nicely mixed and executed.

I know that rabbit hole too well, will I find a sample pack that will create the best song of all time like a puzzle from Indiana Jones or something? Hell no, I'm just procrastinating the inevitable hard work!

This is a great track, excellent mood and the percussion is the perfect counter balance to the rest of it.

Sample squirrels, I know that distraction as well. Hey it would be cool to sample squirrels. Now I'm distracted from this comment. This was a nice piece. Love the percussion, great use of the samples, and those pads really fill out well, may have to check those out, thanks for the heads up. Sub sounded good through my speakers. Nice to have some low end to fill it out for sure.

To be fair, the spitfire LABS sounds are worth a moment of your time.

It sounds great and the composition is beautiful.

Those clicks are awesome and piano sounds great!

Oh swoosh, when that bass comes in at :30, it's sweet. Nice low end tones. Very rich. Not sure if you're hearing it but this could be equally comfortable as backing hip hop track. Lovely!

The clicky percussion pairs really nicely with the filtered beats.  Lovely vibe overall.

Those free sample emails! I understand all too well haha. There are so many things I want to learn and understand that  I find myself creating and wanting to chase new ideas regularly.
Really cool and subtle track. I've been watching Dark on Netflix, and this reminds me of so many scenes where they compare characters as a point of revelation about yet another twist or turn in the story.

Yeahhh man, such a tasty beat, beautifully punctuated by piano.
