Procrastination station again this week! I was also kind of distracted by what was going on with Christian Henson of Spitfire Audio and Piano Day on Saturday. "Music by 300 Strangers" premiered on their youtube channel and even though I didn't have a theme transcribed to strings (like some), he did use a "wh000sh" I submitted... So all of that led to me getting inspired by their new sample library with Ólafur Arnalds' "Stratus". It's basically the algorithm that he uses with his 2 player pianos. So the software kind of gives you these little melodies and tinkles based on the chords you play. It also has some cool synth patches sampled from Ólafur's studio . Since I started kind of late I didn't have much time to get acquainted with the details of everything but egh it's something. The opening piano is from Stratus with some of the synth sounds. The other pianos and strings are from their free LABS library. I apologize for the long winded run on sentences. Every time I finish a track my brain fails the english language! I hear a beer calling me. Thanks for listening! I hope everyone is staying safe and wershing hands!

It really is quite pretty and evokes the feeling of loneliness well. And good job on that "whOOOsh"!
Damn dude, super chill vibe to this track. And thats nuts, so you just play like block chords and the software generates everything else for this intro part? Thats cool as hell, and is now going on my constantly growing list of shit I want.
beautiful music.
Wow, these instruments are absolutely beautifully brought together here.

Yep basically you can control how sparse it is or how random or how it evolves over time. The first bar I had originally repeating a lot and it felt like it was getting a bit repetitive so I changed the option to "evolve over time" which then gives it a slightly different rhythm. But that first bar is what inspired the other non-stratus piano parts. It's def an inspiring tool when you're not feeling much inspiration initially. I wish I could afford the rest of the Olafur Spitfire collection Hopefully they'll keep releasing those free LABS instruments in the meantime.
Very enjoyable and really interesting to hear about that software i'm keen to read more about it.
Very cinematic, would make a great soundtrack
brilliant and beautiful, love it!
