Faded In A Crystal Clear World

By Tone Matrix on June 21, 2020 3:50 pm

Nothing new this week other than this lil quiet thang.  The motivation and energy have all been in the lacking department.  Hopefully something a bit more 'complex' wakes me up in time for next week.  Damn you Jesse Pinkman! (see 2 weeks ago for his fault in this).  This was basically some recycled chords I had from a work in progress back in 2012.  I played producer this week by just rearranging the chords and length and then slapping a Stratus preset on it.  I probably could have added my usual clanky piano but like I said the brain is not cooperatin' this week.  Stay safe, stay sane and/or classy.

Ohh dude, this is super nice. Nothing wrong with having a few quieter weeks after a big project. I really dig this stuff. Took some googling to realise what Stratus is, and damn, my cart is way too full now.

You got a pretty cool rhythmic vibe going with the rhode piano sound. It's like you can almost hear the action of the piano setting up a beat. Nice and understated but very catchy. Bittersweet sound. I like the swelling reverb effect at the end melding into buzzing space hornets smile Very cool!

Haha, I bet your still burned out but that Westworld thing was cool as hell.  Other peoples videos of that contest have been all over my instagram feed lately, its been pretty fun to watch.  Lots of garbage submissions out there, but I've seen a few other cool ones.  Still rooting for you though.

Cool track this week, digging the delay effect thats holding the beat.  Not sure what you did at the end to get it to melt into that droning sound, but its a pretty sweet way to end it.

Really dig the feel and the flow of this track. The delay is especially nice; it creates a really nice rhythm throughout the piece. smile

beautiful as ever. it has a baroque minuet touch, so it is a classical piece of music for me. Love the soft, but punchy sound of the piano and how the track fades out. thanks.

Freaking Jesse, ruining things well after he and Walt stressed me out for the final three seasons of Breaking Bad. Sorry, breh. I like the melodies and how they flutter out view while creating harmony. Even without feeling the inspiration, you created something great again.

It had a nice somewhat melancholy vibe to it.  I could almost see it being the basis for a Radiohead song or something.

It's like a descending into some kind of despair type of music.

Simplicity can be a nice thing indeed.

nice!
