Divine Nonchalance

By Tone Matrix on April 12, 2020 7:55 pm

I waited til Sunday morning to get started on this sleepy number.  Most of these days are starting to feel the same so my musical motivation hasn't been running very high lately.  I'm sure we're all feeling something similar.  Hopefully things pick up or it will be tons more sleepy ambient numbers in my future tongue  Thanks for listening as always!

“Sleepy number” is a great way to describe this.  Really cool vibe you created this week, slow moving but really powerful.  I’m enjoying the pad that’s going on throughout this thing, what’d you make that with?

It's very soothing and probably would be nice to fall asleep to in order to ensure maximum pleasant dreams.

I could listen to this for hours, without getting tired.

Pretty sweet piece. I'll take it any "dull" day, man!

I sure hope things start to change, agree everyday is just blending into the next, however I do enjoy your sleepy ambient numbers, in fact .... I may just ... go take a nap.

The days are really on a loop aren't they. So hard to feel inspired without much inspiration to draw on. This is lovely though.

Thanks the pad is from Stratus.  Along with the main piano thing it does they included like 30-40 patches recorded from Olafur’s Korg PS-3100 and  Juno-60.  They don't have the same sorta random reactiveness the Piano patch has but they're great support patches.  I'm guessing it's from the Juno?  It really is a therapeutic patch to play in the dark.  The kind you lose track of time with smile

Well I'm a fan of sleepy ambient so totally fine by me!  A real calming Brian Eno vibe with this one.  Super soothing.

When the bass enters, the song doesn't change much, but the transition to it brings is lovely. Each instrument feels like part of a family coming together.
