Deprivation

Forgive me if this jumble of words loses focus on what this box is for.  First and foremost, I am a moron.  I've become accustom to starting late (the weekend) but this time I decided to start at about 11pm.  I did not go to sleep!  Why? Well the first few hours were a frustrating mess and then when the sun was up rather than get a few hours of rest I was paranoid that I might oversleep past the deadline.  I ate breakfast like it was a power pill, skipped lunch and now I'm officially bug-eyed!  Ironically I'm happy with the result compared to last week's rant.  I don't recommend trying this even though it had it's interesting moments.  Fits of euphoria, lots of water and a laughing fit the Joker would have enjoyed during breakfast.  My family officially believes I've lost my mind.  Time to pass out… Where am i?

Menacing!

Dark evolving patches and a beautiful crescendo of harp-like sound. Loving the flute-like sound altogether with the vibrating piano. Perfect for an alternate soundtrack to Requiem For A Dream, IMHO smile

Magical. One of my favorites from you since I first tuned in around "Isolate". Your insanity paid off smile

Favorited.

Wow, really eerie. Interesting backstory. Amazing as usual!

Very suspenseful, cinematic. Great mixing too!

wonderful and atmospheric track. I can see the créme de la créme crystalizing out with the decline of participants this week. smile

Nice work! The harp melody is great and the atmosphere is daaark!

Sleep deprivation isn't one of my personal favorite experiences, but there's no doubt it can have a mind-altering effect, which is sometimes beneficial for music.  It seems to have worked out well for you as this is a really nice track.  It might be my favorite of yours yet.  I really like the crescendos.  They give it an epic feel.

Thanks for listening and the nice comments smile  Some great tracks out there this week again! Stay the course! Onward! etc… smile

Great cinematic feel to this, beautiful work

Only 8 bars in and I'm very excited already... wink

I feel like we have a similar 'strategy' when it comes to making music (those inverted commas need to be much bigger!) - it gives me a weird kind of solace to hear of someone so talented who still have the tendency to rush and battle with last-minute madnesses! As much as I hate to think of anyone stressing over their music, especially when it's as haunting and evocative as this, keep up whatever it is that makes this stuff come out - this is a stunning track, no other way I can put it. And a rather different kind of mood for you too - you can feel the 11pm tension while you get started and work through the night, and before you know it the suns rays burst into the track...uplifting stuff! big_smile

Majestic

Sounds beautiful, worth the effort! Next time, you might try what Stockhausen asked performers of his piece "Gold Dust" (Aus den sieben Tagen) : remain isolated and fast for four days, then perform...

Thanks and haha damn that sounds like quite the challenge!  Isolated I don't have a problem but 4 days no snacks!? smile
