Convalescence

Howdy!  Welp! My simple hernia surgery did not go as planned.  When they first put me under apparently my heart rate was as high as 160 and wouldn't go below 150.  After being under for 15mins they decided to wake and transfer me to the hospital via Wambulance.  Not entirely sure if it was my anxiety that caused it or if it's some sort of tachycardia.  Yay... I get to visit the cardiologist again and hopefully get cleared again for take two.  So of course while I was in the hospital I decided to record the sounds around me with my phone.  I guess I know why I'm stuck making downtempo music tongue cuz my heart is too busy making drum n bass!  Here's to mellowing out a bit tongue

Very beautiful, as always! I hope you recover well and are in good health heart

Aw, that's a major bummer about the surgery.  Hope you recover quickly and at least you were able to make use of your hospital surroundings.  The track has a nice intensity to it while still being fairly chill and relaxing.

whoa  - best wishes, and a similar thing happened to my husband.  they found an irregular heart beat while he was in surgery - which was a blessing in disguise because they may have never found it otherwise.  I hope this ends up being a blessing in disguise for you too.  great track!

Way to turn a negative experience positive. Good luck!

Damn, sorry to hear that.  At first glance, I thought your post image was a graham cracker with cake icing on it, only to find out it was a not nearly as fun, heart monitor. Very powerful track with amazing heavy sounding synths building tension. Good luck this week and hope you are up and running at 100% soon!

Scary, sorry to hear about that! Good track, way to use the sounds. Maybe not bad thing being stuck with downtempo

Uhm... sorry to hear about you going through surgery. Since I'm writing this a few weeks after the event, I hope you're doing quite fine at this point.

That being said, extra kudos for turning such a stressful moment into a piece of art. The tension and the ambience of the piece was superb, really.

You're the man, Eric!

Another one for posting comments with such delay:

ahhh oh no - hope you are feeling better & better - this piece really captures the vibe - but as with all your pieces it feels hopeful - hoping you will get well soon!
