One of those old tapes of a human's childhood filled with dreams and aspirations.

I like the sound of tapes in the back, as if we were sitting next to a video projector, showing one of these old family movies from childhood. It reminds me of a similar scene in Arizona Dream, where the character played by Johnny Depp watches these old family movies on a projector, full of nostalgia and of things that could have been.

I love nice pianos, if I have listened to my parents that paid me piano lessons when I was young, maybe I would be able to express myself using that instrument... However I was just a kid not wanting to go there and put the effort to learn. It did give me some music theory anyways, and even if I was not into it my parents did persevere, buy me a drumset, paid for drum lessons, paid later for guitar lessons as well.

So thank you Mom...

Maybe one day I'll try to put more time into piano again. Who knows...

Some really pleasant piano noodling.  There really is a nostalgic vibe to this that comes through.

The sound of the old Bell & Howell projector.  Maybe a memory from grade school AV clips. It does make the song feel like the memory of your choice.

An unexpected favorite for this week + a brilliant name.  The projector sound in the background is inspired and provides some helpful texture (also, it's strangely soothing and I don't know why).  And of course the performance itself is lovely.

...and it really works. the projector and the piano take me on a trip back to my past in a dreamlike movie.
we have hours of super8 movies my parents took in the 70ies and 80ies digitalized on dvd. this would be a perfect soundtrack, when we watch them again. a beautiful job you did this week.

beautiful piece!

Really beautiful tune. The sound of the film projector in the back is a really nice touch. Very relaxing, I can feel the stress of the day just float away…

Very elegant and drowning in nostalgia. That projector sound though, really heavy.

Nostalgia and introspection, but hope and beauty. I paused and gazed out the window and just listened, while the trees swayed in the wind. Got chills, and felt a little like tearing up when seeing a touching seen in a film. Your piano playing and compositions are powerful! Thank you for this moment.

Very nice piano piece and the film loop is an effective addition to shift perspective. Is piano your main instrument?

Well piano is a great skill to have.  Such a universal instrument.  I use piano/keyboard when composing sometimes but I'm not a pianist.  Having extra chops in that department would be handy sometimes!
