Big thanks to AfroDJMac (afrodjmac.com) for the inspiration and spark to get this track going.  I always am perusing tutorials on youtube and he regularly has good videos and releases free ableton packs as well some cool premium packs.  His super-bass pack is what got this track moving along.

That's some chilled out stuff.

(Please don't be extinct.  That wouldn't be cool, now.  Plzzzzzz.)

This is excellent, great panning and it has a really unique sound... How long does it take you to make a track like this?

You had me from that deep, dark-chocolately bassline big_smile  sweeeet...

@codekk: I procrastinated yet again this week.  I don't know why, but I have this weird fear of starting new projects.  I end up watching youtube tutorials more than actually working on music (My keyboard could pass as an elbow rest)  Which is why I decided to join you guys/gals this year.  This track I started Saturday night and finished in about 4 hours (aka luck).  Before I joined, I would think I could add so much more to a track so it would be shelved until I somehow made myself work on it again.  That's why I'm enjoying and half fearing this whole year long project.  It's forcing me to say "ok that's it, no more" or "Ok lazy ass you have 24hrs left, get moving!".  Sorry for the long answer, but yeah it's a learning process and that's why I'm glad this website/project exists.  Thanks for listening (and reading) smile

This. Is. It.

Do plan to release an album, this is sooooo good man! So good.

This is what I want my music to sound like. big_smile

There is so much I could learn if I could peep in the project file. hehe roll

Wow thank you very much for the flattering comments.  Honestly most of the time what I do is an accident.  At least how the sound palette goes.  But lately with the weeklybeats projects I've intentionally tried to stick to a few core sounds so there is some sort of theme in all of them.  I'm a huge fan of tremolo strings if you can't tell already smile  Something about how the strings create tension.  The project file itself in ableton is nothing fancy really, like I said earlier I owe the main bass idea to AfroDJMac.com's Super-Bass sound.  I tweaked it slightly to what I wanted and fooled with the filter and LFO rate to give the lead a bit of wackiness and that's about it.  Thanks again everyone for listening smile  I've heard a lot of good tracks this week and need to listen to more!

Tremolo we love. Indeed it works magic on strings. smile

Very nice.  I liked the way it kind of built towards the end.  It took me on a little journey.

Nice moody piece. Sooo very good smile

Love the Pieces progressive nature. Definately in my download Cue!

awesome! the synths are what makes this track so great, but beats are right on the spot also. they are very basic, but exactly what this piece needs.

The song's opening at about halfway through really gave me shivers. Excellent melodies and sounds. Unbelievable you did this in a couple of hours. And btw: The "enjoying and half-fearing"-thing of this project is exactly what i'm going trough the last weeks, too smile

Another listen to this by chance...man, it's so dammn good
