The Nest

By Tomavatars on May 17, 2026 10:11 pm

Hi!
What a tearful week! But I’m okay!
I think it’s been one of the hardest weeks of my life (looking back over the last nine years).
As for the Weekly Beat, I’ve started listening to British dubstep again—modern stuff, I mean—and I felt like giving it a try, sort of.
So here’s a track to tell the world I’m ready. The title refers to a poem I hid in the apartment I just moved out of and a nest I found there.

I really like the atmosphere in this track! Great choice of sounds! The drums make it sound heavy, but many of the other sounds give it some lightness as well. Nice contrast.

Also, sorry to read that you had a very rough week. I hope things turn around for you soon (if they haven't already)!

That bass is great, and the sharp percussion cuts through it nicely. The percussion feels like it's hitting the bass of my skull. Very crisp. I hope this week (and all future weeks) has been treating you better.

Thank you very much heart All is fine now. I needed to fully live the nostalgia. Now I'm at my new place, ready for the next chapter!
