Global Game Jam 2016

By Tomavatars on January 31, 2016 9:14 pm

Hey.
So this week is a special WB. Not very enjoyable to listen as it is.
I participated to the 2016 Global Game Jam in Rennes (France) this week-end. I thought it was a good way to make a nice weekly beat, as I'm a sound designer an composer and during this event I would have composed a nice piece of music.
But... I also knew that I would make dynamic music in some obscur third parties middleware (FMOD Studio for me), and that it would not be easy to transcript a dynamic music in linear track.

And finally, no music : I made a game (as a developer and sound designer) with my team (Concrete Games) and there was an achievement in the GGJ theme : make all your sounds with mouth.

So : We made a fantastic game that happens in a totalitarian state and we are a kind of a revolutionary guy.

The piece of sound I edited for WB's is the whole pieces of sounds that are played in the state radio in the streets.

One last word, please : Play The Game!!!!!!!

Game : Public Enemy

Somewhat Mike Patton-esque.

Yeah. You win this round. tongue

This is so beautiful. If I was a music teacher I'd play this everyday when the students walk in just so they can memorize it. Amazing. 10.5/10

FLOCK yeah.

Wait, so, I downloaded the game, but I'm not sure how to run it?

Hey. So the game is actually an app for OSX. We are currently play testing it after a week of post jam work.
We will release it for PC in about a week.
I'll post a topic on the general forum when it'll be available.
I'll keep you in touch also.

Thanks for trying it!
