Triplet Mathrocktronica

By Tomatron.Jones on July 5, 2026 11:59 pm

I've been meaning to do more weekly beats that leverage recording guitar, bass, and synth to create more of a 'band' sound than just some sample-based producer-y IDM. I recorded some guitar riffs and chords, then some bass on top of a fun 'K-Pop' drum sample from splice. A sort or triplet riff and strum sort of emerged. Then added some synths and other samples and random little ear-candy. It's kind of a fun indie-rock / math rock meets synth pop electronica thing.

* Drums from Splice K-Pop samples
* Misc samples from Splice
* Guitar - Gibson SG guitar recorded through Scarlet 4i4
* Bass - American P-Bass recorded through Scarlet 4i4
* Synths from Ableton Wavetable
* Gullfoss and Ozone Elements 10 for mastering

Total time: ~4.5 hours

Woah, thanks! I kept this one a little simpler than usual and it's way better for it.
