The Impulse - Playground Sketch

By Tomatron.Jones on June 23, 2024 8:59 pm

Another stream-of-consciousness sound collage, created by combining and manipulating sounds in a way that tickles me. A different means of creating music, sometimes a more enjoyable way, often - just getting lost in the unique combination of sounds and of the flow. It's somewhat inspired by and reminiscent of artists The Books and Pogo. This one centers around a guitar loop that was manipulated and reversed, haunting yet catchy. It has been arranged into a roughly 2 minute stand-alone version. This will be a part of a larger stream of consciousness piece. I didn't have as much time with this as I would have liked, busy week, and prepping for a band show.

* Samples from Splice
* Ableton bass synth
* Ample use of Valhalla, Transit, Trackspacer plugins (and more)
* Gullfoss and Ozone for mastering

Total time: ~5 hours

There's something delightful about the screams of joy.
